He threw a couple of good ones. Lots of life. His fb had good movement too.

I’ve recently seen on facebook, old posts about him winning some type of pitching awards when he was in h.s. I have no idea why these old pictures have been popping up but whatever.

Yea pitched last night. Gave up a homer in his first at bat, but settled down and actually looked pretty good.

Yes. Gave up a dinger to the first batter then settled down and got the next 3 out.

Hit 91/92 with his fastball and one change clocked in at 79.

Probably gonna need him some more with how decimated our pitching staff is.

he looked like a pitcher on the mound with command and movement. He needs to be ready every weekend. He can help us alot

This team is giving me '18 season vibes. It was a shambles too. Remember Jake pitching? Then we found out Cole Gordon became a huge closer for us? We pieced it together and somehow made a good Omaha run.

Just having fun with this, not jumping the shark.

Jacob DeGrom was an infielder for 3 years at Stetson before becoming an exclusive pitcher. It worked out for him.

On the more normal side, Brent Rooker tossed an inning in the SECT during his triple crown year, never did it again. It worked out for him.

I'm going to say that his changeup rates as "devastating". From tv, it looked like a pitch that if he can command consistently, he could pitch from.

I'm not going to get ahead of myself though. Let's just see what happens moving forward.

Best Change on the staff currently. Great sink.
FB was 91/92 with movement.
Breaking ball was tight and needs a little work- but considering it was his college debut- was solid.

If his heart is in it- he needs to go to the pen immediately.

Right there with you. That '18 team was sitting at 16-16 on April 17, then won the 3rd game against OM in extras (Luke Alexander walk off) - it was on from there.

The thought of Forsythe starting for us without having to hit is like a dream come true. Polk was very impressed. Said immediately that he would at the very least eat up innings for us. And apparently mean to lefties.

Lets just keep the fastballs down...........

Lets just keep the fastballs down...........

That will be the key to his success. He needs to have a Butch Thompson approach, pound the bottom of the zone.

Even if he’s below average, you could bring him into a game that we are winning or losing 10-2 and let him eat one or two innings. Saves the more experienced pitchers for the next day.
