Knew it was coming. Hoping they both have complete recovery and speedy recovery. I sure am going to miss watching Landon pitch. He was one of those guys that was just fun to watch.

A gut punch even if we knew it was coming. Time for guys like Fristoe, Walker, Tepper, and Talley to step up.

2 of our best 5 pitchers. Sims went out with a bang striking out 10 of 11 batters.

Just an absolutely dominant performance ended by injury. Man that sucked watching it unfold after enjoying his performance to that point.

The Animal will always be one of my favorite Bulldogs.

Most unhittable MSU pitcher ever.

With it now official what is everyone's prediction on conference record? I am going with 12-18 with an outside shot at 14-16.

I'll predict around .500.

Our bats will heat up but pitching is a major problem.

I fully expected this year to be like 2014. Hasn't let me down so far!

It will take a couple of years for us to reap the benefits of the National Championship. See the time lapse between 2013 and 2016 for reference. 2014 and 2015 were a hangover year followed by a bad year. But once the players committed on the heels of the National Runner up spot got to school we went on the best run in school history.

I'd love to get to 16-14 and you be right. But that won't be good enough to host w the mess we made of the non conference.
That also means we can't lose another non conference game...

I admit it's a stretch. But, this has already been a strange year so you never know what can happen.

I think 13-17 probably does that. This team isn't sniffing .500 in conference.

Hey Shotgun - does Lando still go in the 1st round in July?

This a common issue today, no? Gunner Hoglund tore the UCL, had a surgery and still went first round.

In a selfish way I hope he goes to the Cardinals. Would be a steal. Sims is a winner- that's my favorite quality about him.

Oh it certainly could leave you at home. Easily. Florida got in at 13-17 in 2019 so they could give us the benefit of the doubt being defending national champion. Not something you want to test for sure. I should have said it's possible to get in at 13-17. Not probable.

If we get in at 13-17 our difficult pre-SEC schedule would have paid off for us. I'm not sure if a 12 win team has ever gotten in but I definitely remember some 13 win teams getting. I think that actually has happened to us before.

Actually I looked and not only has it happened to MSU before. It happened to us THREE years in a row between 2004-2006. Granted, we got the automatic bid in 2005 for winning the SEC Tournament. And in 2006 we got in with a 12-17 SEC record. Thanks LT!
