If Howland had signed someone who could hit an open and played Garcia more the season may have turned out much better.

We made TN work hard in that first half. If the Vols have to rely on perimeter shooting in the last ten minutes, thinking those legs are going to be tired and shots start coming back off the rim. And thought Howland did a good job of spelling our players to keep them as fresh as possible. But we need to take better care of the ball. Bottom line though, we're in this thing and can win it.

Given our number of turnovers, especially early, Tennessee should be well ahead. But they're not. State's hanging in there and just might win this game if they can maintain the effort.

Definitely time for change, I've been a fan for years, supported every team and every coach, we are who we are under Howland, this is our ceiling, the NIT.... no more taking up for him. 7 seasons, 1 tournament appearance, how can I defend that?... I always have said I'll never say a coach should be fired, so I won't, but it's definitely time for change.

I guess today they had to put ole Betsy down before she suffered to long. Used to love basketball and gave Howland as much rope as he wanted. That rope has run out.

Let?s not trash the man. He came into a dumpster fire with a hand sprayer. He had a tall task and he did bring on the talent. His downfall was bringing along his 1970?s offense. The man did some good things and made us respectable.

We need someone to come in with energy and a brain for the new game to take it up a level. I?m up for whatever so long as we don?t steal money from a cancer hospital like lsu basketball did.
