Homedog, Todd, or anyone else who has an ear to the ground concerning recruiting might chime in on this. What does our imediate future (next 2 years) look like as far as pitching prospects, including getting them to campus. I?m looking at our current young pitchers and don?t see an ace outside of Cade Smith. Maybe I?m being pessimistic here but next year looks rough and we might be about to hit that void caused by all of the previous coaching turnover.
It would be nice to lure a couple of high talent pitchers from smaller schools that want to pitch in the SEC. We need weekend starter types though and the chances of finding and luring that is pretty low.
