Hunt's got the stuff for sure. And I like that he works quick, makes for fun viewing. Seems a bit rushed (probably nerves), location not perfect. Not worried one bit about him- he's inexperienced and will mature/settle in as the season goes along. But I like the stuff, lot of potential there

Agree, PJohnson is one of the most proven pitchers we have left on the staff. Doesn't make sense he wouldn't be the one brought in with the game in the balance. At 8-3 you can just about pitch anyone because it's over.

We have 9 of the Top 18 players in Mississippi committed. There are 7 Universities in California that divide the best players in a huge state. It is not comparable. Their freshmen are better. We have to build a team.

We have far better quality players than they do, but just like the Missouri series we come out uninspired and lackadaisical in our approach. We got our ass spanked against Missouri and once again by LBS. I know it' early in the season, but I wanted revenge for them beating us at their place 2 years ago. Last year when we played Texas, TCU, and TT we had our heads on straight to start the season. The start to this year is like eating rotten oysters before the main meal....

Yeah that and poor hitting, poor base running, sloppy play all over. Just a huge drop off from where MSU baseball finished up on the last series they played.

I don't think anyone expected another NC run this year but we all expect a super and potential Omaha visit as we should.

About the way we started last year/ We have most of the team returning but we are missing 2 very important cogs from last year in TA and Bednar. Remember Sims was the closer and is now a starter trying to take the place of Bed and the also BP roles have changed. It will take awhile for the BO to get finalized also. Just got to learn to lay off breaking balls.

Yep, not sure there is a fanbase of a top program out there who is not gonna complain a bit when you start the first 2 games at home and lose both by a combined 16-3 score. Its pretty much complain or be apathetic at this point. Certainly hard to find much of anything to compliment.
