Do we have it and did we break it?

I don't know what it was but we did. 10,000+ today. I don't remember the exact number.

After reading your post again, we broke the MSU opening day record. I do not know if that is an NCAA baseball opening day record.

we broke it, but a ton of empty chairback seats.

Assuming we sold 13k season tickets the actual attendance was probably accurate.

The berms and outfield were crowded. The chairback people pick and choose when they want to come.

Very much so. And it's disappointing. I bought a
grandstand seat on the secondary market and I'm pretty sure most of the ones that didn't show up didn't even try to sell theirs.

Yep. And it sucks because there are a ton of people like me who would gladly pay $20 for a chairback to avoid crowding on the berm.

The university needs to set up a system where chairback ticket holders can sell their tickets for reasonable prices.

Of course they did.

Even though I don't have a dog in the fight since I sit in CF, I emailed them a couple of years ago about the two simplest solutions.
1: As soon as you enter the stadium with a GA ticket, you can sit in any grandstand seat but must vacate it if the ticket holder shows up. Ole Miss currently does this for all grandstand seats except for the lower level box seats.
2: If the university is trying to squeeze extra money out of people, have a two-tiered GA ticket system. Say a GA ticket for an SEC game is $15 and a grandstand ticket is $25. A second tier GA ticket would cost you $20 and would give you an opportunity to sit in a vacant grandstand seat unless the ticket holder for that seat showed up. A $15 GA ticket would only be for the LFL, berms and standing rails and would not let you sit in a vacant grandstand seat.

I would pay 1000 per chairback ticket and I need three.
