How would a 9 game schedule look?
3 permanent and 6 rotating opponents

How would that get teams to play everybody over a 2 year period and give teams equal number of home games?
Example: year 1 State has 4 home SEC games and 2 home Non-SEC games and 5 Road SEC games and 1 road Non-SEC game.

Take out the non-SEC games for a moment.

Say LSU, UArk, and ole miss, are our permanents. To have 4 home SEC games, you would need to play 2 of those 3 at DWS and 2 of the 6 rotating teams in DWS.

The next year, we get 5 SEC home games and 4 SEC road games. But, we have to now play 2 of our 3 permanents on the road and 4 of our 6 rotating at DWS, all 6 being teams that we didn?t play in year 1.

I guess I use this example to highlight how difficult scheduling 16 teams a 9 game schedule is going to be. Then add to the fact that in year 3 you are back to playing the other 6 rotating teams, how in the world do they make sure you don?t play the same team back to back road games? As in playing UGA on the road in year 1 and then due to scheduling having to play UGA on the road again in year 3?

I got a headache just trying to write that!
