Tennessee at home Wednesday- must win. No 2 ways about it. We have to grab a couple of big wins to solidify our ticket- and this is one at home we have to win.

At LSU Saturday- LSU is struggling right now and this is our shot to grab a road win with some teeth to it. No better chance to get a solid road win than this one.

Win both and we likely are back in the field. Split and we remain on the bubble with fewer good chances to get in. Lose both and it's "who will be our coach next season since Howland likely retires"

And to make this goes at least 2 pages- Stands is 12-11 and 4-6 in C-USA. 10th best out of 14 teams. Got to win the conference tourney or Stands extends the longest drought in W. Kentucky history to 9 seasons without a Dance

I said on Saturday that the next 3 games would decide our fate:

UT
@LSU
@Bama

2-1 you give yourself a good shot to make the tourney with 2 Q1 wins

3-0 and the tourney is almost a lock.

1-2 and you probably have to beat Auburn or make a run in the SEC tourney.

I can't wait for next Friday! Long Beach State better be ready!

Just make sure you go 1-1. That keeps you alive.

If we will win our 4 remaining home games (TN, Mizzou, Vandy, Auburn) and beat usce and Mizzou on the road, we will be 11-7 and in I believe.

That would mean we finish 6-3 with losses on the road at lsu, bqma, and Aggie. Win one of those and we can probably afford to lose to auburn.

We're not beating Auburn so go ahead and mark that one down..........

Last time we said that they beat us 2 of 3.......

We are 5-4

Tenn
Mizzou
Vandy
@SC

That gets us to 9 wins. Got to have at least 10. @Mizzou, @LSU, @A&M, @Bama. Got to get at least 2 of those. Get 3? We're def Dancing

I dont think we will beat Auburn either- but at home at least gives us a chance. Really need these 2 this week for our resume as well as getting some momentum

Tennessee just lost one of their top scorers and rebounders for the year.

That helps us a bunch. UT is a must win.

Auburn has struggled on the road against uga and Mizzou. One both at the buzzer. Lost at ark tonight. We can absolutely beat them at home

Our crowd shows up and supports them. Home court advantage is usually a major factor in NCAA basketball, but has not been so in Starkville for years.

Arkansas has honestly looked like the best team in the SEC since the 2nd week of January so I?m not surprised they beat Auburn. It seems to me like Arkansas and Kentucky have been better overall. Auburn might wake up now though that they lost and win out but regardless I think they lose @Tennessee. I think our game with Auburn will be close until the final 3 minutes and then we will be lost at the end like UK in OT, Florida, Ark, and CSU games

Arkansas was LOST about the second week of January and then they got Notae back and it looks like a completely different team. Credit to Musselman for not losing the team during that stretch. However, I think they may be leaking about a month too early. Unfortunately, they had to just to make the tourney.

The collapse at Florida cost us the tourney

The re-seating of the Hump killed MSU basketball more than Rick Ray did.

Yeah kinda sad I was really hoping to see us come out playing balls out with what's at stake. Still time but this doesn't look good.

Yea just 5 guys out there doing their own thing. No cohesion at all. But hey its only the second week of February.

Exactly lol. I'm gonna hold out a little hope and see if we can't find a little more effort but dang a big game like this you would think we'd come out fired up.

I believe the Howland era has effectively come to an end tonight. This program won't refresh until the Hump project is complete with the next coach.
