Hate it for his talent, but not for his attitude. Let me guess, Ole Miss?

I thought he had finally bought in. I think there are some guys that are just always going to chafe under a coaching style like Leach's. Going to be hard in the portal era for coaches to reach a guy like that and hold him accountable enough to reach his potential without having him run to the portal.

No surprise, with the UGA transfer.

Agree. I could see him doing well at JState.

Juco transfers should not be able to then hit the portal after that without penalty

Depending on publication, there are about 1,400 to 1,500 in the transfer portal with about 1/3 of them walk-ons. Where are they going to? Simply reshuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic? Putting a name in the transfer portal does not necessarily mean going somewhere else in the end game?

Seems like I saw that 20-30% end up with no scholarship and below the P5 is worse. Guys jumping ship better know where they are going or they could just lose their scholarship all together.

His injuries may hamper his offers he would normally get. Only draw back really is he has veteran experience. Receiver room is getting crowded.

I hate to hear it but understandable and good luck to him.

The trend I see.... are the things people wanted for the players, open transfer and money (NIL), have made starting positions and future Playing time for the players, much more competitive and volatile.

Where is he going to go to potentially get more balls thrown at him? Good grief.

Depends on who they are listening to. That Robinson kid for bama did it right. Stuck it out and when his time came he made the most of it.

They should at the very least have the option for signing away that right. I would have to think it's going to make JUCO's a lot less attractive if they only have 3 to play 2 and can transfer without penalty. Much better off going after another DI player that is burning their free transfer to come to your school.

I looked at the portal and it looks like Cam Threat left last year in June and still does not have a team. Grass is not always greener when you get there.

He signed with JoMo at Akron. Which he was never going to play at MSU anyway.

I was cautiously optimistic that his car accident would give him a renewed focus on football but oh well.

I wish him the best. His production will be replaced quickly
