So even if you pay for tickets and lose money, the new Uncle Sam wants to get another bite at already taxed income. Imagine that. So much for the little guy.

Yea I got the same email this morning. Only the person who sells the tickets on stubhub will get the 1099 right?

I guess you could Let a client use the tickets to a game(s) and write them off.

First Uncle Sam has bigger fish to fry. 2. If you're really that worried, keep proof of your purchases.
