A lot of those G5 teams are at full strength. A lot of the SEC teams are going to be with out starters due to sitting out for draft. Both Missouri and Florida was going with out key guys.

Might be a reason but it is not an excuse. I?ve always heard SEC teams second stringers should be able to beat G5 teams.

Don't think that is true anymore, may have been 30 years ago. There are good players everywhere now especially good G5 programs. 1st teamers sometimes barely win now.

It's really just the playoff.

I used to really get into conference pride with the bowls. Not so much anymore. We expanded to 14 teams. About to be 16. Bowl games don't have the meaning they once did. I enjoy them. But it's just exhibition games now that we have playoffs.

I've never understood the conference pride thing. It does nothing for us to have Bama and UGA to be good because both teams have stud players from Mississippi on their teams we can't get if they keep winning. I hate the other 13 teams and want them to lose all the games.
