I wouldn't mind DM at Bammer, at all... but, unless Bammer hires Rolando McClain as a GA, I don't think I'd want Urbs anywhere near my team...

Agree. Urban is toxic right now

The ole after midnight fire your head coach news dump from the Jags on national signing day.

They tried to not make a splash but this will be talked about for a while. One of the worst hires in the history of the NFL and I'm sure that what we know and have heard about is only a small fraction of what all was going on there.

I?m shocked at just how bad Urban was at Jacksonville. He?s unraveling. Some people with great guy facades struggle mightily when that image gets tarnished by true character coming to light. Tiger Woods, Hughe Freeze, etc. It?s just too much for them, operating while exposed.

Urban is a great recruiter and great at managing superior talent. The NFL has no recruiting and roughly equal talent on the teams.

Nope. Urban yet to get over that STATE ass whippin Dan put on him in Gainesville.

I still remember with great joy the clip from Urban's post game presser where he looked exhausted and confused and they had to briefly pause the response because you could hear a loud "Maroon White" chant in the background.

Chefs kiss perfection right there. Probably my second favorite post game presser of the Mullen era (even if he didn't participate) only behind "U T CHATTANOOGA"

I saw that too. Being able to hear the traveling STATE fans cheer during that was Awesome. I thought Urban was gonna hurl. LMAO. Having STATE fans interrupt your own presser at home. Delivered by your former assistant. Naw, he ain't gotten over that shit.

If only the Jacksonville owner had any clues that Urban might not be the guy to mentally manage through an NFL rebuild that would involve a lot of losing up front.***

I think Leach and Mullen have a good relationship. If Mullen takes the year off, I would not mind seeing Mullen back on campus this summer with some of his former players . Yes, Mullen ditched us but he gave us 9 years and in today's climate that seems like an eternity. With some reflection, Mullen probably realizes just how special it is to take two stars from small Mississippi towns with only one weight bench and turn them into NFL players.

It was the beginning of the end for old Urban. Heart issues followed the maroon and white cheer.

That will never happen.

The owner is more concerned with his European team. He just wanted a splash hire more than anything else. Something to get attention.

And let him steal recruits again when he leaves, no thanks.

True. Meyer and Tebow were nothing more than selling tickets moves.

Not to be argumentative, but the "beginning of the end" and the "heart issue" both were about a year prior (after the '09 SECCG)......

That's the last "away" game that I attended. Great game. I never could get over how close we were to the field, and we were halfway up the first level. We were next to the Florida student section, but they were fine.

Good shit. You wouldn't believe the stuff UT fans said about Gainesville back in my Memphis days in the 90's. Bad stuff.

Makes me think of this for some reason:

You see, my mule don’t like people laughing. He gets the crazy idea you’re laughin’ at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you’re going to, I might convince him that you really didn’t mean it.” – A Fistful of Dollars

Of course not as an assistant. I am not crazy. I was simply talking about a photo op one weekend with Dak or something like that. Dak still really likes Dan.

I believe that you are very close in some regard. Kahn can not compete with the Premier League in UK because the typical PL owner is on average far wealthier than NFL owners, especially with the Newcastle United money explosion on the horizon. His team Fulham will struggle there. His gold mine will be when the Jags relocate to London and command a 65 million wealth population market that is growing by the minute.
