Howland said they worked for the first hour and a half on defense the other day in practice. That’s all well and good, and it was probably needed. Still, we haven’t been good on offense since he has been here. I wish we’d get in a solid offensive mind as an assistant.

I’ve not watched much mens basketball the past couple years just because of the subpar product on the court. This year is no different. Very talented team that is poorly coached. The plug needs to be pulled on Howland. It’s painfully obvious

I just don?t understand. We have guys leaving it short from 4 feet. We have guys driving under the goal then trying to dump it off to nobody. We have nobody going to the glass for an offensive rebound. We have no real shooters. We do not defend the 3, do not block out. So what do they work on at practice? I realize Howland cannot shoot it or rebound it or pass it for them, but apparently his only real coaching ability is recruiting highly rated players and turn them into underachievers. SMDH!

It really can't be overstated how bad of a floor coach Howland is. And it should not take half the season to work out the chemistry of a team. By then its really too late. It will be shocking if this team makes the NCAA tourney. We will not have one decent win ahead of conference play.

Can you imagine the backlash had he turned Howland down? Howland's just on cruise control waiting to retire and I wonder if that ever crossed Cohen's mind when he hired him.
