I think the '04 AU tigers were one of the best teams I've ever seen play. Them not playing for the NC that year is shameful. They were loaded with talent.

2001 Miami was ridiculous, 2019 LSU comes to mind

I forget the year, but one of the Bama teams had like 20+ first round picks on the team that won a national title. I hate them too much, to look up the year. Problem is that it may be a couple of teams and now that I think about it, I think it was only the 2009 and last year's team that went undefeated.

So probably the 2001 Miami, 2019 LSU, or maybe 2009/2020 Bama?

2008 Florida and 2013 Florida State deserve a mention. I realize that Florida team had the weird loss to Ole Miss but the run they went on otherwise was unreal. '13 Florida State didn't have a game within 14 points until the national championship.

2019 LSU was pretty special, though. Would be hard to pick against them.

Yea I guess I didn't realize they had Portis, McGahee, and Gore in the same backfield plus they were stout defensively. That backfield reminds me of ARK with McFadden, Jones, and Hillis.

I really don't think this is just recency bias but to me it's 2019 LSU with last year bama a close second. Then it would probably be an early 2000s Miami team

2019 LSU on paper. I think they beat like 4-5 teams that finished in the top 10

I just wish we could see '19 lsu or '20 bama play '11 bama or lsu. I think that's the best 2 offenses and the best defenses in this time period.

2019 LSU is the answer, and yes that may be recency bias, but I've never seen an offense put up numbers like that

It?s kinda unreal to think back on 2018 Burrow when he was just an OK quarterback. And then all of the sudden in ?19 he has the best season in CFB history.

Might seem like recency bias but I think:
1. 2019 LSU
2. 2020 Alabama
3. 2001 Miami

I remember thinking how unreal it was that Auburn was as stacked as it was when we were getting dumpstered even though I know that was common for us in the 00's. Jason Campbell at QB, Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams at RB. Heck they had 3 players go in the top 10 and Jason Campbell went in the 20's.

20 & 19 Bammer teams with 19 LSU 'tween

18 Clemson, 16 Clemson & Bammer were all nasty

08 Florida, 12 & 15 Bammer were good (but had fluke losses AT HOME)

01 Miami, 95 Huskers (97 was good, too), 04 USC, 05 Texas (& USC), 04 Aubie

Just off the top of my head (mostly)...

2001 canes and it's not even close.

Let's look back in 20 years and see if we think the same of the 19 tigers.. but 01 canes are legends.

That's super fair... But I think it'll only take a couple more years to make that decision,,, depending on criteria

We may never know about 04 Aubbie because they were fed over by the BCS. No way in hell should Okiw been in that championship.

2004 USC was ridiculously good. 2019 LSU had a great offense and was fun to watch.

I think 2022 Alabama could potentially be special too. We'll see next year.
