This Egg Bowl killed momentum yet again for fans in football and barring a TSU game type performance in the egg bowl, we will be lucky to sell 35K season tickets for next season.

Anyone who decides not to buy season tickets because we lost 1 game to a top 10 team is probably too fickle to be relied upon as a good fan anyway.

You win 3 Top 25 games in a season the fan base will respond.

Southern college football fans are pretty predictable. We tend to draw big crowds early in the year for night games due to good weather and tailgating. The crowds in November are usually based on quality of opponent and our record .. But I think we?ve played well enough this year to have excitement for 2022 and this egg bowl loss will feel less painful within next few months and a distant memory by the end of the summer.

Sell. We sell 45K plus next year. It should be Cohen’s number one off season priority. Do whatever it takes to get back close to 50k.

He’s got the right coach and QB now.

If COVID is done next year, we'll sell a lot of tickets. If it's not, we won't sell as many. Just like this year, you can't really blame Leach or Cohen for some people not wanting to risk it.

Covid is not done unfortunately. Airports shutting down overseas and some countries blocking flights.

No it is not done. And with the new variant making its debut in South Africa who the hell knows how people will react. No one can make any predictions on how COVID will affect anything going forward. May be minimal. May be significant.

We should go the NFL route and reduce our overall capacity, but make every seat is a chairback. Nobody really gives a shit how many people are in the stadium when it's full (and those people there are comfortable).

Season ticket sales are increasing big time next year. They better.

I think we do. Cohen better be personally calling people in the effort. Should be the number 1 priority.

We sold over 50K in 2014

No. We’re fine. Our stadium is the right size. This year proved its safe to go to game and our athletic department better work over time to get the stadium packed next year. This program and team deserves it.

Still...the fans would enjoy having chairbacks, and not having to fight over every square inch of bench space. It really is the way to go.

Agree. If we chairback though, we need to bowl it in

Absolutely. But do something in the south EZ as Shotgun said. We would be good for a long time.

I keep hearing that we can't due to spacing w rows. Well, we can't wo basically tearing down the entire side. Which isn't an option....

Serious question. Is there a way to bowl in without tearing down Leo Seal?

I remember back in the early 2000s they were discussing adding 3 inches to each seat. This was going to reduce the number of seats per row by 2. I don't know if they ever did.

Sell, but I think we've lost some of our football attending fans permanently due to ignorance, laziness, or old age. Most Mississippi people are fickle as **** anyways.
