I know we haven't done anything to drop out, and I've looked at 3 sets of projections with 2 having us at #25 and one at #24. The projection that has us #24 has Arkansas at #25. One of the projections that has us at #25 has Arkansas out. To me that ain't happening. Arky was game at Bama, and with us both at 7-4 I figure since they beat us(I know this doesn't happen all the time see Mich-Mich St) they stay above us. Nobody ranked above us we could jump lost except Arky, and I don't believe we jump them. What's the problem then? Fricking Clemson. They are now 8-3 and pelted Wake. I know the ACC sucks, but you know that committee is itching to get Clemson in. I could see them using the excuse that our wins over Auburn and Kentucky aren't as impressive in hindsight. All the projections I saw had Clemson in.

I agree with this, but Houston did beat Memphis which we didn't. I think UTSA shouldn't be ranked. I know they are undefeated but CUSA is pure crap. I think we should be about 19-21, but I'm not on the committee and the Clemson stuff worries me.

The Committee will rank 4 slots consecutively in the 20s:

Arkansas, Mississippi State, NC State, Clemson.

They like to be cute with head to head chains like that.

UTSA is an absolute joke. They should've lost and jump. Struggled with USM week before. No business being ranked.

Agree, but if anyone ever puts Penn State on their ballot, they should cross them out and put in UTSA instead, since UTSA did manage to beat Illinois

ETA: Same for Minnesota. I wouldn't rank Penn State, Minnesota, or UTSA, but if 1 of them got the nod, it should be UTSA.

I pray we are unranked.

Gives us even more motivation in the locker room and we play way better unranked

Dumb. The committee doesn't even use the same thought process from week to week. What a joke.

Don?t lose games to shit teams like Memphis and LSU and it?s all avoided. everything State has dealt with this season is self-inflicted. Go beat the hell out of Ole Miss and change peoples minds.

It was the best when it was the bcs.

It really wasn't though. 5 of the 6 computer formulas were secret and uncheckable, and the 1 that wasn't had a mistake one year that required them to reissue the rankings after random hero fans found it. The BCS was corrupt and mathematically unsound.
