They've been scoring 14 a game - we held them to 6.

They've been gaining 311, we've held them to 131

Cause I could see a scenario where we started 5-1 and then after Bama without knowing how to handle adversity the team crashes and burns. Now obviously crashing and burning is still well within the realm of possibility

It does. Florida was up 42-0 after 3 though, and vandy had their starting qb. That's splitting hairs though. Again, we learn about us next week... vandy is a pathetic excuse for a football team

I guess they realize there was no reason for a post-Bama hangover. If it'd been a close game that we lost it would have been expected, but we never had a chance in that game. Really no reason to not get over that one.

A few thoughts ....

1) Will continues to prove he isn't the long term answer at Qb. He clams up with any pressure and still doesn't see the field. He missed 3 would be touchdowns for huge plays today and took sacks on 2 of them.

2.) Will is going to be our Qb for the foreseeable future, come hell or high water. He's not going to wow anyone with athleticism, but he's going to basically shatter every single season passing record this year. He frustrates the crap outta me when he has a free 5 yards but refuses to take them. I realize Leach is coaching him not to run, but good grief. Unless we have a transfer come in this next year, 2 is the Qb. Greek look is looking good in practice, but he still is a long way from knowing the offense. Sawyer is making improvements too, but he needs to hit the weight room. If he pursues baseball, I don't see him ever contributing to the football team.


3.) We looked like Alabama today. Stay with me ...

The talent gap between us and Vandy, must be how Bama feels every week, sans 1 or 2 games a year.


4.) Arnett proved today why he's a stud DC. Basically took Forbes and Emerson and told them to enjoy their islands. Our linebackers played great today and showed out.


5.)I hate the airraid because it's so dang boring. I feel like the "airbone" is going to work eventually, but man it's not fun. That being said, when Lovertich came in, you could tell there was a spark and his increased mobility showed. Just think if we had an accurate passer and legit mobile Qb to run this system.

6) I think we are going to beat Kentucky and Arkansas.

7.) Hailstate and go Braves.

If we have a quarterback on our roster that thinks he can play another sport and still be the quarterback we need to cut him loose. Being the quarterback at this level is a 365 day a year job. You either commit or find something else to do. You have to be the leader of the team. I have no idea if Sawyer is even considering this but it should not be an option that is on the table.
