Each school needs its own board of directors so that competition remains a constant driver of success. I’m not just saying this because of Keenum. MSU people will support items that are good for MSU and OM people will vote for what is good for them, etc.

MSU is never going to do much in the university rankings again. We are too constrained by things beyond our control. I do know that you can get a damn good education at MSU if you apply yourself. You can get it a good value too.

I hear you, but OM has the same constraints and are quite a bit higher now.

Are we still a tier 2 research facility? Because that happened under Keenum and I don't believe that warrants an extension.

OM also has a law school and a medical school that inflates their ranking. I think we're the only school in the SEC without either a law or medical school. We got screwed on that many moons ago.

This is what I've always thought myself. Apply yourself with passion for what you wanna do then listen, learn, and work hard. Beats the hell out of a fancy diploma every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

No - we bumped back up to a Tier 1 the following year after we lost it

Good, because we better stay Tier 1.
