He looks great to me. I haven't seen much this year due to health issues but I'm finally watching a little football. He looks very solid but I wish he would run the ball some. I've seen multiple plays where he could have easily ran for 10 or more yards.

Rogers is a smarter and more skilled QB but Corral makes up for in his athletics.

I'm ok with him not running much. If he gets injured, we in trouble.

I think the more impressive thing to me is there were a legit 4 more completions that could have been made. Hell, he could have been over 500 tonight if those were caught.

Damn impressive regardless

Well let me put it this way. Corral is more athletic and more raw talent than Tom Brady but he will never ever be a Brady(and by no means am I saying Will is equal to Brady) just saying raw talent and athleticism doesn't make you better at a postion(it obviously helps but is not the be all, end all). Let's see how their careers play out and then we can really compare. Yes I agree corral has more raw athletcism BUT.that isn't everything. Will is further ahead mentally and in football iq

Gun, you seriously don’t think A 4year SEC starter who throws 40 times a game will get drafted? Yes I said 4 years because that is what he will be unless he goes earlier. This is year 2 by the way.

I don't know about that. I've heard that Kiffin has to simplify things a lot for Corral. Like everything is basically one read and then run if it isn't there. That kind of makes me wonder if he can handle a NFL offense.

Everything being said about corral was said about them. They're system qbs that have some talent that never translates to the nfl

SilentSteel16

You are out of your minds if you dont think a Sean Peyton, Kingsbury, Tomlin or Shannahan would absolutely love to have a QB that throws 80 percent of his passes complete plus still hits for 250-300 yds on average. Not to mention protects the football. You all just keep knocking the kid and he will continue to have these “everything went right games.” The kid is a gamer and if he stays healthy will set every passing record known to man at State and possibly NCAA.

If I were a coach give me consistency over high powered with a low ignition rate EVERYDAY.

Never said you said them I said the same things were said about them. Scouts, announcers, analysts said EXACTLY the same things. Corral will bust just like the others because he has a ten cent head, is a one read qb, and has some very personal issues in his background that will cause problems.

The NFL will find out. I think he comes out and his stock drops because of it. He has arm talent and is athletically good enough. But the NFL will eat a player like that alive. See Ryan Leaf. And if he has off the field issues that's a major concern because the QB is the face of the franchise in the NFL. It's easy to contain stuff in Oxford where literally everyone is an Ole Miss fan and the town is small. That's not the case in a NFL city.

Commerce is one of the most respected people on here and if you start pointing fingers just be prepared because some of the stuff you have said in the past just does not make sense. Something about being made of rubber and glue keeps coming to mind. Can?t remember exactly how it goes.

I never have liked Corral either, as an OM player (I don't know him personally) and I thought once he got on campus something would blow up and he would end up being off their team sooner than later. Sometimes the receivers determine the better quarterback. #10 gets to shine by defeating a small defensive back and failed to dominate and win the contested catch. Go to timeline 56.57 thru 57.22 on the Youtube link and notice the receiver elevate over a small defender out of position and get two hands on the ball and not secure it to the ground. Ole Miss serves this type of pass all the time but their receivers will pin the ball to their body and go to the ground with two hands on the football. How do you determine the better quarterback when both throw the same pass and one set of receivers will go to the ground with two hands on the ball and the others will not? Check out the video in slow motion and ponder this statement.

Yeah I agree. OM receivers go up for a ball, with the thinking it's their ball and it's nobody else's and they secure the ball, and you aren't going to take it away from them either. And this mentality and thinking just didn't start after Kiffin and Lebby arrived.

If IF Will puts up impressive #s vs Bama would we have to go 9-3 for him to have a chance at a Heisman invite?

Like 340 yards 3 TD’s and maybe 1 or 2 picks?

No, not saying he would win and I don’t think it’s possible for much of anyone to look “good” against Bama, but just wondering out loud.
