First off, the guy is 6' 4" 310 pounds. Secondly, 24/7 has him rated as a 96 overall with offers from LSU, UGA, FSU, and Notre Dame. If we keep this kid, Washington, AND get Adams, that will be one nasty DL class.

We are off to a great start for 2015! That class could be really good if everything works out.

Actually it will be more like 15 months. It will be here before we know it.

I think we are finally starting to sell our program well. I have to think the stadium upgrades and the facility upgrades are starting to show our commitment to big time football. We hung with the best team in the land for 60 minutes tonight. Good crowd, good atmosphere, and even though we've had a rough year we are still fighting. Got to think the recruits like to see that.

Good news.

Any other news out of the current class?

Just got around to looking at his profile. That's a HUGE pickup for us to get this early in the process, and he's an out of state guy too. LSU has already offered, so it's not a Keith Holcombe situation where he's waiting for the big local school to offer. I hope we can hang on to this guy.

10/10 on 247 had him predicted to LSU. We'll see if it sticks, but that's huge. And this is the guy everyone was going nuts over Hudspeth for, since he was able to get a visit from him. Not saying that isn't a big deal for a school like ULL, but LOL on that one in general.

Hevesy

Quite the day for ol' Hevesy. The OL shows up in a huge way, then this. Perhaps some of our fans aren't as brilliant and perceptive as they believe?

I was not so on board with Hevesy until this year. That unit has played its ass off and they were amazing tonight. Most consistent group of guys on the field. Hevesy isn't a bad coach and he's developed those guys very well. Add to that he was the primary on Chris Jones and he's the primary on Moton. I know there is "word" about the Mix stuff happening, but the guy can coach and it seems like for the most part he can recruit.

Like I was saying the other day, we should recruit in Louisiana a LOT more than we do.

Washington was expected, even though I'm surprised he pulled the trigger this early. Moton is a SHOCK to me.

That said, hats off to our staff. If we rolled out the red carpet well enough to get a commitment from a LA kid that LSU wants, we apparently did a great job with the weekend altogether...

Moton is a shocker, but I think we should have more success hanging on to a kid from Shreveport than a kid from South LA. Dak is from that area, Day is from that area, and, while LSU is the prominent team in North LA, I don't feel like the pressure is quite as strong their as it is in South LA. The o-line recruit from Monroe even committed to Bama this year.

I wouldnt get my hopes up on Moton, even Paul said he would be shocked if he actually signed.

We ain't getting Moton, but enjoy the moment I guess.

Washington is coming to MSU no matter who our coach is.
