Clemson barely made it in. Man if we could hit a field goal and didn't do stupid stuff, we certainly would be in top 25 after this week. We better start cleaning things up. Would certainly be a different feel for this team and staff if so.

100 percent! This season reminds me an awful lot of 2013.

We were a young team in 2013. This team isn’t young

We are a young team when you look at how many snaps this group overall has played.

Not a fact. The reason many were high on MSU preseason is because we had a lot of returning starters and returning experience. SEC shows highlighted that fact. We were in the upper half of returning experience.

The other reason the high preseason MSU forecast was the year 2 Leach affect which ain't happening in 2021 in the SEC.

But we are "young". I mean, some of our key players are sophomore's with their true freshman year happening during Covid and all of that insanity. Trying to completely remake a program was going to be a tough road. Doing it during Covid/2020 basically pushed everything back. I was at the game for the first time in two years yesterday down in the gridiron and I can tell you that on the sideline the players didn't look defeated. We looked inconsistent and, yes, we had receivers running open. I'm sure it's because I don't have LSU DL trying to sack me but when we were backed up on the 15 yard line in the north endzone (I was almost right behind Will at eye level) and you could see receivers breaking free and running open up the middle but we kept checking down. I think it's just going to have to come with experience for Will but if you hit those receivers (and they catch it....and don't fumble it) then it's a whole different ballgame. I just think he started during Covid with limited contact, practice, etc. And the entire team tried to learn an entirely new and foreign scheme during that as well.

You can't convince me that this offense won't work once they get it humming like a fine tuned machine. Right now it's a machine where the timing is just a little off and that is making all the difference in the world. I'm usually pretty negative but it FEELS like we are close.

You need to get over this. Young= inexperienced is basically everyone is talking about. We are young in places and inexperienced in more, especially in this system. So just stop.

Wait, we were literally the youngest team in the country last year. We are still young.
