Our defense can keep LSU's offense in check. This is not one of LSU's best offenses by a long shot.

Our offense probably couldn't score with a Bourbon Street hooker Saturday, but we'll see.

I'd have a little hope if I thought we could keep from spotting LSU 7 or 14 but that is what we do.

If we don't turn the ball over we have a shot. This may be another crazy 4th quarter game or LSU comes in and just prison rapes us.

12-15 play drives are not really sustainable, too many opportunities to shoot yourself in the foot. There have to be some chunk plays to stay competitive these days. Winning 17-10 is not really a thing anymore.

I don't think LSU is that good. We certainly have a shot at winning, but I wouldn't bet on us.

This is not the LSU we're used to. I'd like a win but I ain't holding my breath. They still have talent but sketchy coaching.

Of course they are. If they play to their talent level, we have no shot. I don't think they've played to that level all season though. I still don't think we win... I say 28-16 LSU

So is NC state. This game is winnable because our defense should make them look pretty bad. Feel like anything can happen in this one

Memphis speed would give NC State problems.

I think too many of you are looking at last year too much. Dont expect LSU to play man all game again. They learned a lesson.

I don't expect our offense to do well. I do believe in our D being good enough to beat them at home though. Our defense is really good and LSU does not have a great offense

The way our skill players get led into contact with passes, we might have someone get hurt real bad. They have athletes that can come up and lay the wood.
I would like for us to win but I don't think Leach will try anything different this game and LSU will be prepared for it. They have a field goal kicker that can kick it a mile too

34-10 LSU. Our defense plays well for 3 qtrs. LSU with a couple of late touchdowns. Decision time for Leach.

Oh I fully expect this to be a really ugly game. We suck, they suck, the recipe is there for a pillow fight of epic proportions.

I do think it is a close game and we may even win. But when I say close, I am talking like 13-10 final score and a miserable viewing experience for all involved.

You are talking about the two teams ranked 11th and 12th in the league in total offense, and the two worst rushing offenses in the league BY FAR. Also two QB’s who don’t really stretch the field and two pretty good defenses.

This has big time train wreck potential.

O's seat is scorching hot right now. They are trying to find a way to fire him with cause to get out of that $20 million buyout. If we should somehow, some way beat them Saturday they might just go ahead and fire him anyway. We lose to Memphis, but beat them? The LSU message boards would be in total meltdown.

Side note that has nothing to do with this year but interesting none the less.

1993. Last time State lost to Memphis, State played LSU at home the next week and lost 18-16. I'm somewhat sure it was a JP 11:30am game. Bruce Arians was the OC.

I've said all week I think they stay with their base 4. But I still expect a lot of zone behind it. The key to me is can they consistently get pressure with their down 4. If they do, long day for us. If they don't we should have plenty of opportunities down the field. They lead the country in sacks.
