Marc Curles has a long history of incorrect calls but always keeps his job.

If a defender putting his hand down on a ball that is no longer moving doesn't constitute 'possessing' the ball in order to down it then I've seen a LOT of punts downed that should have been ruled still live. It won't matter, all the SEC is worried about is covering for their crews. I'm surprised they even admitted the mistake on the ref signaling the play dead but allowing the play to go on. And as expected, no comment on the onside kick call where an 'illegal block' was somehow discovered on the review so as to prevent us from having possession of the ball.

Mark Curles crew is always one of the worst in sec. I was expecting some blown calls but none as egregious as they made today. That being said we should've put the game away after the int. If you depend on sec officials to do the right thing you're gonna get screwed unless your bama

Once in every sec game this season, at least in DWS, we should make a point to scoop up a downed punt and run it for a "touchdown." The bench should go apeshit as well as the crowd. We should get a penalty.

We would being awareness tonthis fiasconall season long and then college football nation would love the defiance! That play would and the shitty SEC officiating would get talked about nationwide all season long.

No asterisks. I'm serious.

Yea, I was thinking about the fact that you would never see that kind of chickenshit allowed in the NFL. SEC officiating, "It just means less".

All well stated and true!

But, I still smell a rat (I.E. RefsRUs), while it is trying to put lipstick on a pig. It is ugly and still stinks. I know, it is what it is. So I will shut up now, and exit left.

Curles sucks as usually but replay could have fixed this. Someone needs to answer why there isnt a flunky in the booth looking to see if something needs reviewing. Btw Mullin had the same issue.

Gah, I was posting that on my phone and some of it is gibberish. I switched to laptop. Here it goes. I am deadly serious and have not had a drop to drink today.

We should do this in every SEC game. At some point scoop up a downed punt, perhaps even intercepting the toss from the opposing player to the ref, and run it for a "touchdown." The bench should clear, rush into the end zone and celebrate with their teammate, carrying him back to sidelines on their shoulders. All they can do is call a 15 yard penalty.

DO IT. EVERY. GAME.

The entire college football nation will talk about it all season long, with every eye in the country watching SEC officials like a hawk. You may think it is silly, but it will be an act of defiance that will make us heroes in the college football world. They won't be able to sweep under the rug what they did to us. Whether the 17ed us by design or incompetency is irrelevant because they respond to both in the same way. Perhaps it is incompetency by design. I kind of picture Coach Yost basically telling the officials he knew what they were up to and they had better call it fair.

I am officially done accepting it.

Yes he did. Mullen and Leach are both basically OCs that aren't even paying attention to anything else that's going on in a football game.

Never, never, ever leave a football on the ground during special teams. Always hand it to the ref to secure, it's the only way to prevent being screwed like on this punt.

I am on board with this because it would be a big 17 u to the sec officiating. Either that or every time we punt we literally grab it and run it to the head official and make him take it off our hands. Hell several players should escort the ball carrier just to be safe
