I'm shocked at the OL improvement. We still can't run block but we're pass protecting so well Will is very comfortable looking. Dolla Bill is the only negative there all game.

I'm also pleased to see the play action. It's how to defeat the 3-8 zone on 1st and 10. 3rd and long the D can stay back, but on plays where they don't want you to run for 5 it's killer.

Arnett gets an A+, and the O would have scored a lot more without the dumb penalties and miscues. Those will get cleaned up.

We still have the odd miscommunication, bad snap, missed assignment, or penalty. Those go away with reps. I'm assuming the O makes those improvements and Leach continues to fold in new wrinkles like play action as needed when defenses adjust.

He's already adjusted to hold the LBS in a 3-8 and create space behind them, so I think he'll adjust again if he needs too. Admitting his O had a problem was the first step lol

I'm really happy we're winning this game, but still so much of the same shit going on. The OL has been better, but we're still bogging down in seemingly the majority of our series. Plus, as good as our D as played, we've definitely benefited from NCSt just sucking, missing wide open guys for TDs, having horrible penalties, etc.

I hope our staff doesn't treat this game like fools gold.

We're just not talented enough at QB. It'll frustrate you all year but once we have a better athlete at QB, we'll be significantly better.

Will is a great backup QB. Knows what to do, won't get you beat, & is fairly accurate. He won't elevate your team though

Memphis' defense is not good. We played a good defense last night. Will should be able to pick this defense apart. If not, then I'll really start questioning his ceiling as a QB.
