I checked the schedules going back to 2014 (the start of the Playoff Era), and the SEC is 14-7 against in the ACC in September games. 4 of those losses are to playoff-bound Clemson teams, and 2016 Vandy and Ole Miss are two more. There are several examples that seem like upsets, like South Carolina beating North Carolina in 2015.

None of that really means a lot for our specific game next week, but I can see why a neutral observer would think that the SEC tends to have the ACC's number in these type of games, and that plus homefield advantage would mean something.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw this. Something isn?t adding up. One of those ?doesn?t make sense? games that Wayne Allen Root used to talk about. He won plenty on those picks.

Because a lot of our mistakes are correctable. We also had 2 defensive linemen that are in our 2 deep that didn’t play yesterday but will next week in Russell and Jack Harris. It should be a close game if we don’t turn the ball over and have stupid penalties. It will be up to Rogers to play like he did in the 4th quarter to decide anything else.

I would never bet college games until week 4 or week 5. Everything is too unknown. What if La Tech really is a 10-2 CUSA team? NC State looked great against USF but La Tech would probably beat USF by a lot. Just too many question marks. That being said I think NC state will beat us, but I just wouldn?t bet on it or touch the line.

It’ll get out to about +5 by the end of the week. I wouldn’t touch it. Either team could win by 10. If a team wins in a blowout it’ll be Nc state. If it’s real close we have a better chance in my opinion.

There's too many people on this board that think they know this team after one game.

If you think we can't win this game you're crazy. Three quarters of the good offense we saw yesterday would smoke NC State. And if you think Arnett isn't going crazy right now figuring out how to adjust then you haven't paid attention.

We will be much different Saturday. Maybe not win, but guaranteeing a loss would be a mistake.
