Long way to say we're about to have tropical storm Fred. Current forecast keeps it a tropical storm as it will be interacting with mountainous islands although it does skirt just north of Cuba. If it makes it into the Gulf then it will need to be watched closely as it will have all the upper 80's sea surface temps it wants to work with. Still waaaaaaaay too early to know where it will end up and how strong. Just a slight southern jog of the track will keep it over a lot of land and that could very well rip it apart.
