Those are pretty solid numbers right there. 14-25 from the line isn't gonna get it done though...

Yep, definitely some improvement from last year. We will force a lot of turnovers this year, and that looks to be our MO under Ray, which is fine by me.

14-25 at the FT stripe isn't very good, but it happens quite a bit in college basketball. Thomas had an off night at the line, but he can shoot them. Applewhite looks to be fairly good as a FT shooter; Bloodman and Ready are adequate. We just need to keep Sword off the FT line if we can help it.

What is it what MSU and FT's? Always seems like our team's struggle from the line every year.

That would be nice; the problem is that his play style is going to lead to him going to the line a lot. He's going to have to improve his free throw shooting to reach his potential.

Exactly. We need him to continue to drive and draw contact... we've just got to get him to work on FT's. At the end of a close game where the other team is fouling to extend it, we'll need to keep the ball out of his hands until he does.

Its time to stop bitching about free throw shooting. So many teams do it poorly, and it has never changed in modern college basketball. Maybe "free" isn't the correct way to describe these shots.
