I wish our government would put as much emphasis on cancer as they have covid. I have lost 3 friends to it in the last month.

Sorry for your losses. Not trying to start a pissing match but there's a ton of money in cancer research. It's just extremely versatile and a bitch of a disease

Not going to look it up, but I think the world is putting an extreme amount of money and research into cancers. There are thousands of types, and when something new pops up it's difficult to fight. Covid is a virus so it was fairly simple to create a vaccine based on previous research.

I'm from Mississippi so I'm smarter than everyone else. (this is going to be my new signature) /s

My aunt was battling breast cancer and now fighting a different fight.

After chemo, radiation, and a double mastectomy, she was encouraged to get the vaccine. Within a week of the 2nd shot, she was in the hospital with swelling on the brain. They got her well enough to return home, but she was back to the hospital after a few days with a brain bleed and a mini stroke. She's been through so much, and it's all I can do to get through the day without breaking down emotionally.

Cancer sucks. The unknown about the vaccine sucks. I'm not sure if it was the shot or just the fact that her body had been through so much and it was a combination of things. I know that I have had intense debates with people about the politicalization of the virus and the vaccine. I just want to rewind back a couple of months and tell her not to get that GD vaccine.

RIP JT. He was an amazing guy and True BullDog.

Must have been simple because they rolled that sumbitch out quick. Not injecting me with that. I?m not a guinea pig that wants a fake spike protein taking over my cells for years and reversing previous vaccines I?ve had.

Lost another also, Harry Hebert of Biloxi. During the Vietnam War he served with 1st of the ninth marines and was in the Operation Buffalo at Con Thien where he was one of the few survivors when his BN ran head on with a NVA Division which had just crossed the DMZ. Jack and TUSK and other Marines will know his story. He was a faithful Bulldog.

One interesting science advancement due to covid is the opportunity to program this same vaccine technology to attack cancer cells.

https://www.clinicaltrialsarena.com/news/first-patient-dosed-in-biontech-phase-ii-trial-of-mrna-cancer-vaccine/

Once again, public money working with researchers to advance our understanding and opportunities. It started with Mers and Sars research, and now that mRNA has been used on 100s of millions, things like this will happen faster than ever.

Imagine what we could do as a society if we put 10 billion dollars behind solving these issues. Just like the small funding for Mers and Sars in the early 2000s has paid off huge in our current fight.

Might as well be a guinea pig for a new known virus that is known to kill folks at a 100,000,000% higher death rate.

This is not a flame at you just comment on Covid mess

There is money spent on cancer but to the gov, no other deaths or diseases matter because they can't weaponize it to beat people down. My mom is battling cancer and Covid played a role when she couldn't get in to doctors while sick. My dad died from cancer. He also had massive heart attack in his 50s and survived.

Bottom line, if it ain't Covid, no one in charge cares about those deaths or sickness. Evil has taken over.

Well that might be good but how many sacrificial deaths from the gain of function research have to die to make it worth it? Fauci said himself if the virus leak happened and it got out and killed a lot of people the knowledge gained would be worth it. Worth it to who? Those who died?

One other fact here. Even if a cure for cancer were found, which I don't think it ever will, there will be something else. Here is a truth, very few have come to understand. The death rate for humanity is 100%. It don't matter what from. Yep straight from the Garden of Eden and it can't be reversed by any medical professionals spreading lies behind the curtain. So folks better get prepared for their eternity.

Have you ever seen a thread that stayed on topic? Never. It is a message board. No one on this board made Covid something they wanted to talk about, others leading our world did.

No disrespect to the deceased. You act like this happened at visitation with the family or the funeral home website.

Prayers to family.

Yes, I have seen topics where when a local guy dies it stays on topic with people that just wish the family well and do not turn it into a pissing match that no one else cares about. Most of them do that are this type of thread.

Treatment was ineffective and he was released to spend remaining time comfortably with his family.

Yes it does MaroonFlounder. I've just been diagnosed with cancer and my treatment right now is an injection once every four weeks to try and prevent the spread. It was a freak discovery when I had a CAT scan while on a visit to the ER for other symptoms. They found spots on my liver which I had no idea were there. I've seen a specialist with Oschner's Clinic and being they caught it very early I'm lucky at this point.

I've not had the vaccine yet because of a wait period after I had an antibody IV. I'm still not sure when and if I'm going to get it since I actually had COVID the first of 2021 and then the antibody IV. After seeing and reading about so many negative reactions to it, it's scary to say the least. Also after listening to this presentation about all the patents on SARS and Coronavirus stuff I can't believe a word FAUCI has to say. It's lengthy but worth the listen to hear about all his manipulation of the patents and how he has used to news media to create so much fear. The latter part deals with the fact that the Delta variant is just a manipulation of the process to create a fictional variant to try and force people to get vaccinated.

If it is, it is rare. Since Covid and other Woke stuff, every thread ends up with both in there. Our leaders have succeeded in dividing our natoin.

This was not intentional by poster that brought up cures for cancer. It was made in good wishes for cancer to go away; it is just something we all deal with. Covid can be said the same. Standing for truth is all I am for. Evil is going unchecked in our world right now, this message board is not immune to issues either.

I have much compassion for those suffering from cancer. Lost my dad to cancer few years ago and my mom dealing with now and had Covid impact to not getting medical help due to Covid.
