My pops died a year ago Saturday.. We buried him in his State cap and bell. Threatened my life when I was 3 for picking up a OM cap in a store (bought me a State one). Took me to my first football game, 1980 State vs AL. Promised to buy me a cap if State won (he thought he was out smarting me). Tonight he's shaking his ding-a-ling (his bell) and partying with the rest of the family. Miss him big tonight!
Last year, when I found out I had several serious health issues, I just wanted to win a natty. Time was running out. Tonight, feels like its just starting. And I believe it is. The flood gates are going to open wide and we're never looking back! Hail State! Holy Shit!
