On a serious note, I have been a game by game fan of baseball since 1986. I have been a fan of MSU baseball since 2001. As a St Louis fan I have celebrated World Series championships, but it does not compare to this. My University, Our University, the #1 University in this state, won the College World Series. After 2013, I was heart broken. 2021 was a fantastic experience of a roller coaster of a season. Today's high was formed by the damn challenges along the way. I believe I will remember these guys, this season, the smell of the grass for the rest of my life.

This night was just phenomenal. Texting with my daughter and new SIL in Starkville, some of my guys who made it to Omaha, and shout out from friends from all over who understand what this means to us. The game of baseball has been a huge part of my life, and is why I chose MSU. It really is what makes MSU special - and now we have our Natty!

It?s great the Nation saw the best fans in college sports tonight. We may not have the most fans because we don?t have a bandwagon, but that?s what makes it special. Our fans are 100 percent maroon and white in all sports. Our fans cheer for Mississippi state not just one sport. My joke is alway what?s the difference between the miss state fan and the alabama fan walking down the street in October? The alabama fan will have a kentucky jersey in March. We have miss state jerseys all year round!
