In 2013 it felt like we were overwhelmed and the moment was too big. It's hard if not impossible to win like that. This time whether we win it all or not we've acted like we belong here. Going 0-4 would create "can't win a game in the finals series" stigma and we eliminated that tonight.
Great win! Preston Johnson and Hooty were great as was everyone else on offense. But we obviously have unfinished business still.
On paper it looks like a pitchers duel. Saving Sims was obviously huge- especially since they pitched one of their top guys for over 40 the other night. Because of that I think we're going to have to continue to not walk people, play good defense, and be aggressive on the basepaths like we were tonight. No way we're going to hit like we did tonight off of Rocker so we're going to have to manufacture probably.
Obviously the final step is winning it all. Good luck Dogs! Hail State!
