Any delay in starting this would be really helpful to us. The one big negative about the Omaha schedule is the turnaround from winning your bracket to the championship series. Its dragged out like it is but you are essentially playing a Regional and Super Regional in Omaha but unlike the regular Regional and Super Regional there is no time to get your pitching back in Omaha before the finals begin (unless you are Vandy and are gifted wins that don't require using any pitchers).

They not only got a Day, they got a hobbled opponent on game 4 and then had No game.

They got a mulligan on the loser's bracket.

The only way to make it equal is for Stanford or Texas to pickup the NCSU role and they play a 5th game with Vandy

Rain delay in the middle of the game might help if it messes with Leiter but I was primarily talking about a delay that would push the start of the series back a day or any of the days of the series back a day that would give us a chance to pitch our normal starters.

Current radar showing rain & thunderstorms to the east, west, & south of Omaha.

Rain moving into Omaha from the southwest. Thunderstorms (the red on the radar) seems to be a little less, but there's a broad area of what is probably light to moderate rain moving in. Not sure if they'll play in the rain as long as it's not a downpour but lightning would certainly cause a delay.

Where is the stadium relative to downtown? There's a red cell north of downtown, and another WSW of downtown, but they both are almost stationary. Otherwise, looks like spotty light rain on radar.

I think the game should be postponed until tomorrow. Field is not playable at a championship standard.

I think probably 8:15 or so, which is an hour from now. Assuming there's no lightning nearby to hold things up.

Have you had a lot of rain there? Eppley Field, where the NWS is, has had 0.26", so not a lot of rain by our standards. No idea where the airport is relative to the stadium though.
