Solid coach but a little underwhelming for what I would expect at LSU. I mean, this is maybe the best job in all of college baseball. I'd give it a B-. Definitely not what I would call a homerun hire.

I actually think Johnson is a pretty solid hire. LSU recruits itself right now and Johnson just took Arizona to the CWS, so he's got some notoriety. He's a good coach that's recruited a lot of talent to Arizona.

If it had been us in a coaching search I think I would have preferred Jarrett out of those three candidates. He impressed me.

He was the coach in 2016 when they came in and beat us in the supers. They finished runner up to Coastal Carolina that year.
