We have known Rusty, Linda and their entire family for years. I was at his grandmother’s house in Hattiesburg when Ron Polk drove down to sign him. It was a big event with many people there.
My middle son..Cole and his friend Shaw literally idolized Rusty...we all went to church together and Rusty always paid attention to them...as they were aspiring baseball players also.
One of my fondest memories is when Cole and Shaw walked out one morning headed to Bible school.....they were both dressed as “Rusty”....donned with MSU baseball uniforms, gloves and even black out under their eyes....
Rusty is just a great person and the perfect example of what MSU baseball is all about.....

Winning that Texas A&M was huge. Marathon of resilience.

The end of the Florida game was crazy. I recall Florida had the bases loaded and Wilkerson pull a grand slam wide and foul - in the 9th. Gorilla ball drama.
