The radar shows the storms just east of Starkville, and they're moving pretty much north to south. Hopefully they'll pass on by and the only effect will be some light rain and cooler temps. A lot can develop in the next 3 hours though.

In my experience it's been a 10 miles/30 minute wait rule. Every time lightning is detected within 10 miles the 30 minute clock restarts.

Announcers last night at Tennessee game said 8 miles. But it's looking a lot better in Starkville - light rain now with the storms to the west and moving farther away. Start time delay might not be all that long.
