They paid a fortune to keep the wife abuser and let the guy that is leading MLB in saves...go.

Great decision****Enjoy sub .500 record all year.

Yeah letting melancon go was dumb. They made it to where they did last yr based on their pen. This yr they won’t make October based on their pen.

Was melancon gonna hit middle of our order? If the choice was ozuna or melancon, then the choice AA made was correct.

If you wanna critique a move, it should be smyly, not ozuna

Smyly is looking like a terrible decision. At least it's a one year deal and he'll come off the books next year. TDA does too I believe. Hopefully we can find a way to ditch this Ozuna contract, and we'll have some money to work with next year.

I'd calling my shot on the braves landing a state player in one of these 2 trades...

Haniger and Kendall graveman from Mariners

Adam Frazier and Richard Rodriguez from pirates.

Either one would really help this team. Graveman or Rodriguez would move will smith to a 6-8th spot. Then you have Rodriguez/graveman, will Smith, Martin, minter, matzek, and hopefully Shane green. This would be 3 lhp and 3 rhp high leverage guys. Really shorten games.

The offense part is obvious... we starting f'n almonte and heredia. I expect Frazier/haniger to take more spot, and I fully expect drew waters to take the other one before too long.

Probably more than a little wishful thinking here....

Really Clark?

If Freddy doesn’t start hitting soon, we may still be around .500 come all star break.

He's snake bit, big difference in wOBA and xwOBA and really low BABIP. I complain about his numbers all the time, but he really is hitting much better than his results.

I get it but 60 games in and that should be correcting itself. He seems to be hitting into the shift more this year even when it’s hard contact. Wonder if that is coming into play with the metrics. And I may just be perceiving that it seems that way

Freddie still has to beat the shift. If he would learn how to get a slow bunt down the 3rd base line when the entire infield is playing between 2nd and 1st they won't put on a shift anymore. I saw our AA team put the shift on a player who just bunted it down the 3rd base line. He got on safe. We shifted him again. He again bunted it and got on safe. Didn't use the shift for the rest of the series. There has to be something else going on with him. His stats are way below his avg and why has he been hitting 2nd most of season?

Yes, Smyly sucks. Charlie Morton has been good. Will Ozuna ever be available again? Forget the finger, his ass will be going through court hearings.

I'd bet my life savings ozuna is done as a brave. We just gotta cross our fingers we can get out that contract.
