Our guys better be ready tonight. VCU is coming in with some swag. One of their guys was asked last night about today?s game against Ms State, and he quoted ?Yea they are a good team, but we have won 22 straight.?

This is baseball. We are better than them, but the better team doesn?t always win. If we come in with the big head and thinking they are beneath us, we will be playing the early game tom.

Unfortunately, that's likely a true statement for every game going forward. Others have to step up now. Macleoud has done it before, and he could do it again. He's just pretty hit or miss.

I sincerely hope you still have this attitude in the morning. You need to look at their schedule a little bit more. There's more good teams than just Liberty / they aren't even the best team. This team looks like they are better than missouri - Think about that.

There isn't two cents difference in Bednar and MacClead, maybe Bednar is mentally tougher, throws harder. Maclead has a better breaking ball, he just needs to keep it down and don't walk anyone. But we gotta hit, it's regional play, look at the scores across the country and there more high scoring games than pitcher duels!

Last week team isn't showing up today, we played pretty good against maybe the best 4 seed in the country yesterday. I seat behind home plate, Bednar wasn't sharp, he kept the ball up all day. Samford has some good hitters and is the more seasonal team as far as regional play than VCU.

Yeah except that lefties have a higher ability to neutralize his best pitch, which is his slider. Which is why MacLeod is going today.

Best pitcher doesn't always equal best matchup. If Bednar was DeGrom then sure. But Bednar gave up 3 runs yesterday to this Samford team everyone said was terrible and overthinking. That doesn't exactly scream best pitcher by far.

Baseball crowds are fun, not intimidating. I think MSU wins because they are better than the opposition. The boys got to better tonight, because the crowd will inspire VCU, 100%.

Tenn Tech mashed everyone they saw. VCU is mashing D2 level teams and got swept by Liberty. They haven’t seen a pitcher like Mac this year.
