I always thought his defense was a little underrated but I didn't expect him to be that good. He is really fast for his size and has a great arm but I just didn't think he had that instinct of taking great angles. Maybe he has worked on it.

He definitely seems to have worked on it. He's had the tools but wasn't making great use of them early on. Of course, the defensive metrics can be unreliable in small samples, and just last year he was slightly negative in defensive value, so the results so far don't necessarily mean they'll stick.

He might wanna start working on his bat...

.649 ops
.047 walk rate
74 wRC+
.280 wOBA

Agreed. His defense is keeping him in the lineup regularly. But he is heating up some at the plate.

Mar/April - 19 games, 1 homer, 8 RBI, .167/.235/.250, ops is .485

May - 15 games, 4 homers, 11 RBI, .283/.283/.533, ops is .817

His May was great. So even with the bad April, his season stats are .258/.292/.464 with an ops of .756. And he is arguably the best defensive rightfielder in the league

His freshman year (I think) I went over to the SEC tourney in Hoover with a friend. I vaguely remember he had to play CF for some reason. Someone hit a single to CF with a man on first and HF threw a ground ball to 3rd and he was out. My buddy and I just looked at each other. It was a freaking missile.

A while back I saw HR throw a guy out at 3rd from the wall deep in the corner. Ball never hit the ground. Wouldn't make Billy beanes roster However.
