If he can make the big freshman to sophomore jump then he can be a really good player. He is a good defender and can get to the rim. he has a decent stroke. Not as fast with the ball as Devion, but still good. He will be given every opportunity to run the point for us. Just hope he can lock in. 3 different high schools and now transferring after 1 year is a concern. But such is life in today's world.

He is a really good pick up, he and Deivon are very similar players. He has that explosion like Deivon.. his quickness with the ball in his hands going east to west in the half court may be better than smith, he knows how to get separation, plus he is bigger. Losing DJ hurts us but adding Moore definitely lessons the loss even though he is a PG.

Yep, bad enough to have to endure the hat pick press conferences from HS seniors. Now every college player can do it again with the no sit out transfer portal. Oh the joy.

In all honesty that is the strategy alot of coaches are going to. Heck even Stansbury has been doing it the last couple of years. Loading up on transfers. I don't really have a problem with it, coaches can up and leave at any time so why hold the players. Plus a player can only transfer 1 time without having to sit a year if he transfers again. So it's not like players can play at 4 different Universities in a 4 year span

If you go on the NC state message boards they hated to lose him. They say he is a very good on ball defender and a very tenacious player

I agree we still need one more gaurd off the bench who knows his role. We also bring in Camryn Carter out of Oak Hill. If he is ready as a Freshman he can give us some minutes there as well but I'd prefer a more experienced guy out of the portal also

We'll be 8-9 deep. We'll have depth. There will be another transfer guard added plus Fountain plus Matthews plus Murphy plus JD. We'll have depth.

Oh lord yes, depth is the least of our worries. The only ?worry? if you even wanna call it that at this point is finding one more shooter. Howland has done an incredible job of revamping the roster for next season!

You need Iverson Moore Fountain & Jeffries to all shoot 35% from 3 or better. That's very doable. Brooks will be like Perry in that he'll shoot 1-2 3's a game. We'll see who the last guard spot goes to but they need to be a 35% shooter or so too. That will give the squad plenty of shooting & spacing.

The play from our freshmen in the NIT give me as much hope as anything. Matthews and Fountain become extremely valuable, and I think Garcia can be another piece that helps. I agree that we need one more guard from the portal, but if we get that then you have to feel good about next year. If DJ would have came back you feel REAL good, but that is ok.
