Maybe a night off? I hope it's not injury or discipline.

This pitcher has good stuff. 92 mph fastball, with a nice curve. But we got an unearned run on a hit by Dubrule. 1-0 heading to B1.

Great 1st by Cade.

He might get lit up next inning, but he's gonna be a really legit guy here. Love how he pitches quickly and has 3 qurality pitches already and typically is going to pound the zone

I really like sitting James for a game. Tanner gets some needed reps at first, Leggett gets some needed reps at third, and Clark gets some needed at bats. Kam James gets to clear his head.

I'm listening on the radio.

On TA's fly out just then, Polk said "Oh that's out of here" when it came off the bat. Gotta love him.

I understand. But I’m thinking Lemonis wants Tanner getting work in the field. With Hatcher’s lack of hitting, we are looking at options at first base while still keeping the good bats in the lineup. Come super regional and CWS time, Kellum Clark may not be ready for the lineup, but Hatcher may not be hitting either. So Logan Tanner or Leggett are most likely our options at first.

Tanner isn?t coming out behind the plate unless its an emergency situation. If he wouldn?t have caught 30 innings in roughly 24 hours last wkend he would have been behind the plate tonight.

Yeah, there is no way Logan Tanner is playing 1B in a Super Regional. I would rather Luke Hancock get the reps there. Since Luke is catching tonight, Clark makes more sense. But whatever, no big deal.

I watched him pitch when he was in hs 95-97 and he threw strikes ok but command in sec baseball vs throwing strikes in hs is 2 totally different animals. He definitely has a cannon and he's so good behind the plate. Framing, blocking, receiving, quiet working behind the plate and a leader. Catcher is definitely where he belongs. Hoss is right!

Over the course of a season I would say it is a noticeable impact. In any particular game with a pitcher really in command and cruising maybe not much. But over 15-20 starts it could be significant.

I've always found it interesting that when you have a great catcher not many people notice all the subtle things that save pitches, outs and runs but when you have a bad catcher everyone notices.
