With Fairfield's first loss of the season today, we are now #2 in the country with the #3 SOS. Our resume is looking good.

That's great. Next weekend is huge. Win 1 minimum, but winning 2 of 3 would be big with just Mizzou and Bama left after. If we can at least win 1 this weekend, and then go 5-1 in the last 2 series, I don't see how we don't earn a National Seed. No slip ups midweek

Because they pick next week. Need two this weekend. Got to have one.

1 minimum but really need 2. Go 1-2 next weekend and we open the door for someone to slide past us.

They are only going to announce host spots next week.
National seeds will not be appointed until the end of the year.
We are fine.

From my understanding- and they change it from time to time so who really knows- I think they are going to announce 20 potential host sites next week and then select at the end of year based on merit.
It's going to be interesting because I could see Fairfield having a resume' good enough to host a regional but their facilities are subpar. I don't believe they have lights for night games. So they need to either find a minor league park where they can host or they could be a one seed on the road somewhere.
To others- if we win one vs South Carolina on the road we're going to be more than OK. If we win the series we're almost a lock for a National seed as long as we don't tank against Mizzou and Alabama.

I believe if we get to 20 sec wins we're a national seed for sure and to do that we need to go 6-3 over the next 3 series and that's very very likely.

Correct, announcing 20 to get to 16
Anyone thinking there is anyway we get left out due to whatever we do this upcoming weekend is crazy.

Alabama is a sneaky tough series on the road to end the season. They have quietly crept up to 11-10 in conference, which isn't great but is far from terrible.

I see 6-3 coming. 2 losses to USCe and 1 to Bama and sweep Missouri. 20-10 should get National seed then go from there

Expect every team to fight like hell.
We face a Wounded animal in South Carolina next week. Texas and OM swept them this season. They have gone 1-5 after Arkansas and Ole Miss. Maybe fragile, but they will be supremely motivated to save their season versus us.
