Nice to see us putting more bodies in the film room. Hard to compete with rest of the SEC when we're so limited in off the field staff compared to the rest.

I actually saw him play a couple of games in high school. Long way from Lakeside, CA to Starkville. Now Leach, go get us some monster Samoan O linemen from out there!

It's interesting to me that he has been an offensive analyst and we want him as a defensive analyst.

I've been impressed with the hires this offseason for the off the field positions. Even Hopson once it was made known that he wasn't a recruiting specialist.

As far as an offensive analyst goes I'd like to see us hire Chris Hatcher. I liked some of the things he did to us when we played Samford a few years ago- specifically some formations with four WR's on one side. And he is on the Mumme/Leach tree so there is familiarity there.

Hatch is good - but I doubt he would leave being HC at Samford to be an analyst here.

Yeah it's more likely that he would be something like a receivers coach if Spurrier left.
