Stub hubbed me a couple tickets in 206 for my son and myself. Have to get a hotdog here at some point.

Good catch, Tepper, lol.

Also...hitting 97 on the gun. Yikes.

TA is such a good base runner. I thought there was no way he'd get 2 out of that

Poor dude had an ERA above 9 coming into the game. Can't imagine what it is now.

His fastball is averaging about 88. Topped out at 91 so far.

Really Clark?

Say something nice about Hatcher Day...he is very consistent with the roll over ground ball to the right side. Almost automatic really.

Really Clark?
04-20-2021, 07:02 PM
Come on Cade, find the handle

Really Clark?

Hatcher is good for at least one WTF play a game.

You would think we would try someone else at first base midweek

Cade Smith struggled. But he will be fine. He’s got potential and is going to be very good for us. Just needs some work. That’s what midweek is for.

Glad Tanner is wearing that armor- he is the Franchise right now

Looked liked it hit him above the guard

I don't think their catcher could throw out Lt Dan trying to steal.

What is up with the helmet and two ball logo thing when they show the incoming pitcher stats.

KC Hunt - he has lost the strike zone

He is nibbling and not attacking

Wonder if we see Lovette today, it’s been a while

Is he still on the team?

It's amazing we never sit Hatcher except on a Saturday vs Ole Miss.

Can McDonald play first? Hitting right at .450!

I think some of these guys that don’t pitch much get too amped up when they get in a game.

That’s understandable - thats why these games are valuable and its good to spread the work to lots of arms today

Bobby Reed the warrior of 1990

Doesn’t remember the regional that well. We won the pivotal game 3 that series versus FSU, they had to beat us twice.

He was to busy winning the damn regional to remember trivia.

He’s remembering 1989 were we lost game 3 to North Carolina

Kellum Clark is going to be a factor this season, and a future big time player for us. Huge to get him to campus.

These boys are not playing around getting hits. We need to see some breaking ball guys and fish for some fastballs.

95, 97, and 96....jeez, I wish he could reign himself in, because he would be gross. And a great breaker for the K. Filth.

He is. He looked great. No pressure tonight though. He's got the game, just not the "head game". Gotta find it, because he could and would be a weapon in the post season.

Dawgcap
04-20-2021, 10:15 PM
My gosh a filth 9th by him. I know some will have their opinions but with him and Landon Sims hitting on all cylinders we are so nasty!! 95 - 97 fastball and an 81 curve that leaves like a fastball and bottoms out. We have to and need that

He's always had this in him. He just doesn't (or hasn't yet) had the mental fortitude. Let's hope he can find it, because to say he'd be a weapon is the understatement of the season.

I always think of Tin Cup and the "the S word"...

If he can get his delivery and mentality right you can use him from starter to mid inning to closer. Huge we get him right. If he finds himself we got a star that can excel in any situation. I see why he was an original top 5 pick now it’s time he goes out and makes himself money and wins us games against the best. Well we just gonna have to wait and see and hope

Imagine losing by 10+ in a midweek game and the other team trotting out a guy who throws an easy 97+.

If Cerantola can give us 2-3 good innings per weekend then we can be something special.

I think the next step may be letting Cerentola pitch in a slightly higher leverage situation midweek. Like us with a 3-4 run lead and see how he does.

That is the next "step". Hope he can conquer it. It's the pressure that he hasn't been able to handle. People keep talking about him throwing from the stretch, hell, he pitched from the stretch after the first batter and 95% of the guys he faced he was in the stretch bc he allowed runners. His stuff is pure filth, but i'm a long way from trusting him.

Reminds me of a guy the Braves had awhile back named Tim Spooneybarger. His stuff was absolutely nasty, everything he threw was 95+(back when that wasn't so common, ha!") and the ball moved all over the place, absolutely electric! He never conquered the command/pressure issue and then he hurt his arm and that was it. I really hope Cerantola can conquer his mentality on the mound cause his stuff, as he showed last night, can be absolutely dominant.
