The win in 80 against Bear or a win vs Saban in 2013?

Saban 2013. Easy.

The last year a playoff isn't available and we knock off number one in mid-November? Not even close IMO.

The win in 1980. Going into that game, we had lost to them 22 years in a row and they were on a 28 game winning streak.

A win this weekend would be huge, but not as big as the win in 1980.

I would say winning this year would be bigger than 80 because of the media impact.

To be honest, it will be dependent on when the fans were alive and if they watched the 1980 game...that's the truth on this.

Agreed. If you were alive, a MSU fan and old enough to know what was going on in the football world, the 1980 game wins hands down. If you don't meet all three of those qualifications, you will probably pick this year.

it's the last year a regular season win counts as much as it used to. next year a win against them wouldn't even knock them out of the playoff and the NCG chase. This year it would. The timing would be impeccable.

Bama had won the last 2 titles in 78 and 79 also- and was riding a 28 game winning streak in 1980...and we had lost 22 in a row to them. Got to remember, at that time, we beat who the coach who everybody thought was the best coach in the history of football.

I think 80 was bigger than 2013 would be

2013 is bigger. We already beat the Bear.

A win in 2013 gets Mullen on a few more couches.
