That should provide us a very interesting reference point. She should be able to win at Auburn as they were very competitive nationally not that terribly long ago.

She will need a couple years but will be interesting to see her in conference now.

You want to see some shit hit the fan let her be successful there and we all realize she could have (should have) been our coach instead of this tik tok abomination we ended up with.

If Cohen had hired a career assistant that had never coached a single game, he would have been vilified on these boards!***

Well we will see if we made a huge mistake.

She will be successful there. And this is gonna suck if our coach doesn't turn it around. Shit

She must have interviewed better at Auburn since the word was she was rated 4th by Cohen in interview prowness.

This will quiet the crowd that says Johnnie is an assistant for life. Will certainly be interesting to see how she does

So not only do we blow it by hiring Rick Ray McCray instead of Johnnie, now she gets to slap us around and remind us of it for years to come. Great.

Vic is in big trouble now**

Wonder who may go with her from Texas staff?

She got the Auburn head coaching job. Now a head coach in the SEC....the best to Coach Harris as she moves forward.

Is it possible that Johnnie will be the same way?

Based on Cohen's interviewing skills that says nothing negative about Harris. Cohen has no clue on a coach other than if they are a smooth talker and have a nice powerpoint presentation.

Vic in trouble? Got news for you, an assistant coach is not what has made Vic succeed. Good to have yes but I've never seen an assistant coach in basketball be a key cog. Football yes but not basketball. Not saying Harris is not a good coach but the HC controls everything in basketball.

It's going to be interesting to see how she does at Auburn. I'm glad she finally got that HC job though. I really had never heard of her until she was talked up as a Vic replacement when he left, so I'm pretty much a fair weather fan. I knew who Vic was, but didn't know the assistants. Same now - I have no idea who Nikki's assistants are.

It will also show how good of a recruiter Vic really is. Johnnie is considered one of the best recruiters in the nation and top post player coach.

Yes but your ? was on second sentence not the first. You said Vic was in big trouble with Harris leaving. Sorry if I misread something but that is what post said.

I’m not a Vic hater like a few. I understand why he left also. Gonna be interesting to see who Harris hires as assistants.

I don?t know if she will be willing to sit a year, but I?d keep an eye on Rickea potentially transferring to Auburn to play for Johnnie.
