I'm not sure what that means as far as numbers, but the ticket office says the series is sold out. The general admission tickets that went on sale online at 8 this morning were sold out by 8:04. Not sure how many were sold.

I don't think they were able to sell very many. I think the folks who had first crack at them yesterday morning bought up almost all of them. I think I saw where there were only going to be a few hundred remaining for sell this morning. Although I doubt it, I wonder if we'd put more on sale tomorrow morning. Need as many people as we can get in the ballpark this weekend. I'd expect as of right now we'll probably have between 6-8K there this weekend. A normal weekend we'd probably have between 13-14K for a series of this magnitude.

We better have 10k minimum. There is no reason we cannot

I seriously doubt we have 10K. I'd look for it to be closer to 8K. Grandstand will be packed. It's the GA and student tickets that always inflate our numbers. Personally I don't see how the grandstand can be at 100% and the GA can't be wide open. I mean if it was COVID related I don't think your chances are greater in the GA than they are in the grandstand. I really don't know what we're trying to accomplish on this one. I mean the CoronaBros aren't going to be any more pissed off at 8K than they'd be at 13K.

Will there even be games 2 and 3?

I could definitely see Saturday being a wash. Might could get in two 7 inning games on Sunday depending on when the weather gets out Sunday.

We built too few chairbacks.

Sunday is worse than Saturday isn't it?

The forecasts I've seen have it out of here by noon on Sunday. But I'm not SVD so I'm definitely the wrong one to ask that.

Good deal. I just looked at my built in weather app on iPhone. Thanks

Hard to have 10 there when 10k tickets aren't sold.

How do you know 10k tickets weren't sold? Not saying they were, just wondering where you got that info bc I haven't heard a hard number. I don't get why it's some big secret.

Just by doing the math. 4400 grandstand seats were sold. Then add premium seats. 8 per rig in outfield. Double size rig get 16. Which there are only a handful of those. Then the student tickets they were offering, 300. Add on 2000 additional that they just put out, some went to rigs, the rest just GA/SRO. None of that gets you to 10k

Where would you put the additional chairbacks? I mean I know you could take out the berms and add some there and deck over that, but I can't imagine that gets you more than 6K of chairbacks. Demand is always going to outpace supply with our baseball team as long as they're good.

So the additional general admission tickets sold this week were only 2,000? That's what I was trying to figure out.

Right now most of the storms look to be out of the area by early afternoon, but after the way the models royally missed the last two severe events in MS who the hell knows. May have a hurricane and a blizzard at the same time for all I know.

Why does open up not mean open up?

It does. Tate means open up. No restrictions.
Cohen, or keenum or whomever is not opening it up fully, knows better than Tate though, apparently.

100% true. The attendance is coming from presidents office.

Just open everything to full capacity. People who are concerned about being in crowds can exercise their right to not attend. That’s how we should have been doing stuff the last 12 months.

I was at the game, now way was there only 6K. It was pretty full and seeing how everyone is close in seating and standing, I don't understand why we have a so call "sell out", I mean folks were on top of teach other including going into the stadium and leaving.

Makes sense. But I bet there are recommendations made and a collective decision making process, with Keenum having the final day so. He needs to get it together bc the buck stops with him
