They got the call right on the replay. He was out.

That was not enough. One look he looks safe the other hard to tell. You can't overturn that on those views. Bad, bad call. If it had been called out you couldn't over turn it either.

Preston Johnson in the game - big moment - Laffy pitching is making things tough

Houston Harding doesn't have the best stuff on the team, but he is definitely one of the best pitchers. Great job.

Big Canadian kid in the game - for Laffy
Polk is impressed
He's throwing in the American strikezone
Role model for our Canadian

Preston Johnson is dirty. 94 downhill with life and then an 84 slider. And he's owning the zone.

We're bringing in Sims. We aren't fcking around this game. 3 of our best 5 arms tonight so far.

96 on that last pitch for Sims. I hope we let him pitch the 9th.
4-0 MSU.

I'm thinking the same thing. I love closing games with authority like that.

Sims is bad news. Boy we got some arms. If this team gets the bats going, we are making a run.

State certainly didn?t scare em with the bats. Good thing the ULL infield had a case of the dropsies.

27 straight scoreless innings, most since the 70s. That is dealing from the mound. One win was a no hitter too.

Give me those 3 guys on an SEC friday night and I'm happy.

Downside to having such good pitching is we don't get a chance to see how putrid our infield defense is.***

We need to keep the great pitching going. You don't win many college baseball games where you only get 4 hits.

CMac and cerentola better read the tea leaves. Shove it in the zone and get outs or somebody else will.

I know I'm saying this to someone named CaptainObvious but if teams aren't going to score on us we don't need a ton of runs to win.

Depends on if Lemonis wants to keep pitching MacLeoud and Cerentola on Friday and Saturday. If he does then LSU has a chance to win the series.

Yeah, Harding or probably Bednar are the real #1 and #2
The Highlander and Canadian will get better, but they are not pitching like Friday and Saturday starters right now

I'm not sure Lafayette is that good from what I saw, decent maybe, time will tell.
I was really impressed with a great Wednesday crowd, looked like a pretty close to Friday night crowd.
As you guys stated, pitching was great by Harding, Johnson and Sims. I sat behind home plate and Hardy has a sneaky fastball that is consistent 88-89 mph. What impresses me mostly about our pitching tonight, they don't fool around on the mound. They receive the ball and are immediately are set for the next pitch. Strike throwers indeed.
I will say Cade is almost ready, he threw Tuesday 30 pitches and was in the 90-93 range. Talk about living his dream, loves State!

I think ULL is good for their conference. South Alabama is probably better but no they're not SEC caliber either.

They aren't scary at the plate but our pictures were lights out! I think I would trade our Canada picture for theirs, dude was impressive and he looked young.

Thanks for the scouting report Basedog.
ULL is not the greatest opponent, but they do get up for SEC opportunities, like does USM. Both those guys would love nothing more than to Crucify an MSU, SEC, Top-5, team on their home field.

It will be like old times when Files and Smith are on the field in a year or so, just like their dads back in the day.
