Way too many big misses. Even half of his strikes miss the target by a foot and a half.

If a pitcher can?t take a little off and groove a fastball when he HAS to, he definitely shouldn?t be a weekend starter.

Cerantola, I think, will be really good. He is getting better. But... He has to be able to throw his change and curve for strikes. His fastball is really fast, but it is also very straight. If they know its coming they can battle it off. He really was close this inning, that infield single was bad luck.

Cerantola will never be able to be depended on in any game that means anything. 2 walks and a hit batter basically cost us 2 runs there. He did the same thing in the 2nd inning last week where he loaded the bases with 2 walks and hit batsman and then gave up a 2 out 2 run single. Just gifting people runs.

Yea, overall I'm still WAY more worried about our offense than our pitching. We have a lot of talent and a lot of arms on the mound to move around as needed. If the guys we have in the lineup don't start picking it up then we are just hosed because there is really nobody else on the bench you can go to. We are at about 3 to 4 runs per game unless we get a lot of help from the opposing pitcher and defense like last night.

The truth is we have a lot of options as far as pitching goes. That's what is important. The real question is how long before Lemonis makes some changes with that. That's kind of an unknown because Small, Ginn, and Plumlee were all pretty solid. I don't think he will wait around too long though.

I made an earlier post having confidence in Lemonis making the proper adjustments to avoid repeating yesterday's performance. Sometimes all it takes is for a couple of arms and bats to get hot to turn things around. I think that's what's gonna happen and then our past mistakes will be just that. In the Past and not relevant in the Present.
