How'd you qualify?

If you're 18 and older and have a pre-existing condition you now qualify.

I hope everyone takes advantage of getting the vaccine when they can. Covid is awful..... The lingering affects are strange too

I got it last week. Weird side effects. My ear turned red with a rash and my pecker grew 7 inches. Seeing spots and ran fever a couple days. Dr said it would clear up and straighten out.

Side effects seem to be similar to mild effects of the virus. You need to drink a lot of water. Seeing spots is a sign of this.

If this was a side affect we would have herd immunity by Valentine's Day.

Really the thing is it's either take the vaccine or get COVID. Either way will achieve herd immunity eventually. One path is easier and less risky than the other.

It appears I will get to do both...

Sounds like Mississippi is doing better with the vaccine implementation than Texas. It's a mess here. I'm one of the early qualifiers and I've pretty much given up trying to get it for the foreseeable future. Hope things start getting better for you guys soon.

Getting my first shot tomorrow. MD Anderson reached out to me and recommended I get it ASAP. I was able to get in tomorrow locally.

Did your pecker grow 7", too? Wife is wondering if that's a common side effect.

I would argue that it's actually more risky for us to get to herd immunity using the vaccine. If we all just get COVID, lots of people will die, but the vast majority will recover with no problems. If we all get the vaccine, most likely a lot fewer people will die, but if there is a problem with the vaccine or if it really is just an excuse to put Bill Gates's microchip in everybody, we 17ed. I guess that risk is reduced somewhat by having two different vaccines, but I suspect Gates has the juice to get his microchip in both of them.*

So I qualified for the vaccine up here in Minnesota due to working with the SO. I received the Moderna vaccine and only experienced some site-area pain for 48-72 hours. Besides that, I had no other effects. My coworker, which she is about 110 lbs soaking wet wearing a heavy coat, had the worst of the side-effects. She had extreme arm pain, headaches, and ringing in the ears. Her symptoms subsided after 72 hours, but that seems to be a common side effect for those getting the Moderna vaccine. She also has a gluten and dairy allergy, so that may have factored into her side effects.

It's so hard to tell if people are being sarcastic when they talk about lots of people dying as a preferable result and also put a sarcasterisks on a post.

Everybody just make sure you get the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and NOT the AstraZeneca. They're from the UK so may only get 7mm instead of 7". 17ing metric system!!!!

Had covid two weeks ago. Had a headache and little bit of sinus stuff. Headache didn't go away day two and had chills where I couldn't get warm. Temp never got above 97.8. Got tested was positive then lost smell and taste. Headache went away on day 4 never had chills again. Started regaining taste and smell Friday. Feel back to normal now. Called dr to set up me giving blood. All in all to me I have been sicker. Just wanted to let you know that I did have covid 19

Wow. And in Alabama, it's still 75+. I have a couple of pre-existing conditions, old as dirt, and am still looking at at least a couple of months away.

Read today on al.com that Alabama may get fewer vaccines next issuance because we've been so slow using what they gave us the first time. It really shouldn't be that hard ....

Bah, with AstraZeneca, you get 7 meters. I saw some people practice pole vaulting without any external poles.

What if Pfizer is spiking the vaccine with Viagra? Gonna get you hooked. The vaccine is simply a gateway drug.

I had the flu in 85 as a young strapping young man and I was much sicker for longer...much longer. But make no mistake this stuff can / is rough. Went for my annual heart exam two weeks before and my Doctor said he didn’t want to take the shot but had to for protection of his patients. But.....If you have Afib (and i do) and you get covid it will make the Afib go insane. Two weeks later I was professing my Doctor as the greatest prophet ever......you DO NOT WANT TO GET COVID IF YOU HAVE AFIB.........

On 12/31/2020 I was really glad for 2020 to be over!!!!
Woke up at 230am on 01/01/2021 with fever and hurting all over. Tested positive for covid on 01/02/2021.
On day 4 my fever broke. Day 6 I lost smell and taste. Felt bad, but not terrible for about 10 days.

Today I would say I'm 99%. Still no taste or smell.

Defiantdog...what kind of lingering symptoms you having??
