Line started at -5 and dropped to -3. That's a tempting line because based on what I've seen I think we are a lot better than Vandy. But based on our previous outings @Vandy and Howland's track record, that would be a tough line to bet.

If we can win all of our games left except @Tenn @Bama @Auburn @TAMU @USC I think we could make it. That would put us 12-6 in conference. We are getting solid looks. But we've taken 24 shots in 20 minutes. We've got to continue getting good looks, but this scoring in the low 70s basketball isn't sustainable. Got to get a higher volume of shots while still getting good looks.

This is true. A lot of times on the board we say, "Teams won't shoot that good from three everytime." But if teams continue to shoot well from three against you year after year its because they are open.

college officiating is so bad. But Molinar misses 2, DJ misses 1 and Cam misses 1. Then Devion has a complete lapse leaving a 3 point shooter wide open. And it took all of that for Vandy to cover the spread.

We are terrible against 3 point defense, but I think part of that is because of our strong defense in the paint. We need to win these next 3 home games and then need to win at least 1 of that 4 game road stretch.

By design...Howland is a stats guy. He is willing to give up some threes to control the interior. Obviously, it can bite you in the butt too. Like Liberty and teams like Kentucky when you have some guy come off the bench and light you up from behind the arch. Thomas from Vandy came off the bench to go 5-9 from behind the line today. We can manage the game effectively as long as we can make our free throws.

This is as good as the league has been since the early 2000s. It’s a battle every night. Even the bad teams like Vandy and Ole Miss aren’t terrible.

Was watching Arizona State and UCLA the other night because nothing was on. That looked like a bad Juco basketball game, compared to SEC play. No comparison in the talent and style of play. Not sure how good either of those programs are, but they have not been historically bad.
